What It Is ?

A friendly, social English Conversation Lounge where you stop studying and start speaking. Small groups, real conversations, and supportive teachers make every session feel like meeting friends, not classmates.

Levels & Learning Goals


Pre & Lower Intermediate (A2/B1)
– Gain Confidence –

 If you already understand some English but hesitate to speak, this level helps you find your voice.
You’ll learn to express ideas clearly in daily life, improve pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary through guided conversations and practical topics.


Upper Intermediate & Advanced (B2/C1)
– Speak Naturally and Fluently –

For learners who already communicate well in English but want to sound more natural, confident, and spontaneous. You’ll refine fluency, pronunciation, and idiomatic expressions while discussing real-life themes, culture, and current events.

Course Structure & Schedule

  • 2 × per week (60 min each)
  • Flexible morning or evening groups
  • Maximum 10 participants per class
  • Join any month – rolling admission
  • Location: DAS Akademie Berlin, Torstraße 125, 10119 Berlin-Mitte

Two levels available: Pre & Lower Intermediate (A2/B1) and Upper Intermediate & Advanced (B2/C1). You’ll be placed in the right group after a short placement test. Every session has a clear theme and goal – so you always leave feeling more confident than before.

In the Lounge, speaking is the main focus – not grammar or exams. You practice spontaneous communication, receive direct feedback, and learn to sound
natural.

The English Conversation Lounge is the lighter, more social alternative to our regular English Conversational Courses (2×90 minutes per week). While those courses focus more on systematic progress, this one emphasizes free, spontaneous speaking – with shorter sessions and more flexibility.

Ongoing and flexible – you can join any month and stay as long as you wish. Each month includes eight sessions (2×60 min per week).

Small and personal – usually six to ten participants.

Yes. A short test (online or on-site) ensures you’re placed in the right level: A2/B1 or B2/C1.

Yes, you’ll receive a DAS Akademie participation certificate showing your level and progress.
